I was in Newcastle last weekend for a wedding. Got several cabs and within seconds each driver was losing his shit about what's going on. One wanted BFS back! It's so bleak. Apart from one who was from Folkestone, he was pretty calm about it all.

I'm not usually one to laugh at other clubs, fuck knows we know all too well what it's like to be a laughing stock on too many occasions down the years.
Having said that I must admit to recently having a peek at the NUFC fan forums. As you can well imagine they are totally losing their shit.

Sky were saying that Newcastle Utd offered Wednesday £1m in compensation and they were asking £5m.
Newcastle now supposedly offering £4m

Despite everything Benitez said about Newcastle, he ultimately left for the money. You can't blame him for that but let's not fool ourselves, even if Ashley had given him £50 million to spend on players he still would have gone to China to double his money.
